Innocent Without Cause

My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Proverbs 1:10-11 KJV
My son, if sinners shall entice thee, consent not to them. If they shall say: Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, let us hide snares for the innocent without cause: Proverbs 1:10-11 Douay Rheims
This past week I was in Phoenix for an industry event. At the same time, there was a professional golfing event and the professional football championship. Needless to say, Phoenix was a busy town. I met a your person on my travels back where we had a very nice conversation. She came from a school district where young children may not have the means (financially, network of people) nor the knowledge to pursue higher education. I would be amiss to say the only factor was these young students failed to learn as our system of education has a role to play in the failure to provide the student the right to an education as well; after all, we are talking about Wisdom in these blogs.
God reveals to us through the story of Noah as it states " And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Genesis 6:5. The story continues the earth was corrupt and filled with violence (Genesis 6:11). My point being mankind has a history of violence and corruptness since the beginning. The writer of Ecclesiastes, many think is Solomon, has a similar message as it says in Ecclesiates 1:9 "there is no new thing under the sun". What has happened since Adam and Eve, will continue to happen on earth until the last breath. I see it daily the evil that lurks in the shadows ready to pounce on the inncoent. For those who have read Revelation, it only gets worse.
Back to the person on the plane, she has a strong faith with works but not without trials and tribulations. She is not alone, I have them as well. I asked her how did she get through her High School years, graduate college and go onto to start a very successful career. Besides her parents, she had friends who made a pact to stick together through the journey. She did mention about gangs and how she knew most of them. There is a lot of truth to her friends did not fall for the traps or snares but her faith as the Lord has his hands heavy upon us and commands His angels to concern us (Psalm 91).
The very first piece young kids need to adhere to is to stay away from those people which only gets more fierce as you get older. My mother taught me this at an early age as I was a loner of sorts and did not have the friends this young woman had in support. She recognized there are awful people who will take advantage of my kindness and naiveness ( naivete ). For those who have read my blogs or know me, I am a cheerleader for others. I am a cheerleader for this young female on the plane, never did ask her name. She has the hand of God on her life through her faith and works (she does mission work) and is a testament to the Lord's wisdom and grace.
