Proverbs 6:12-23 KJV
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.  When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Life is hard, it is challenging, evil is all around us in the form of people. Satan's purpose is to destroy lives through these people. Last week, a CEO of a company was shot in NYC. Every day, you turn on the news, it talks about murder, human trafficking, drugs, burglary, car-jackings, fights, and many more. Can you imagine parents fighting at a sporting even when their kids are in elementary and middle school? Nope, me, either. Vile and Vain individuals have abounded since the creation of social media.

The pompous and arrogance around entertainment and sports! Look at reality TV; the more drama there is, the more manipulation there is into having us believe that people actually act this way in real life. If they do genuinely act like this, these verses about the seven abominations are aimed directly at them. I am not casting a stone at them while I have a plank in my eye. These people are putting it on display as pure evil, and other people actually watch it and may see this as usual.

Here are the seven listed

1. A proud look
2. A lying tongue
3. Hands that shed innocent blood
4. A heart that devises wicked imaginations
5. Feet that run to trouble
6. A person who spreads lies about another person or people
7. A person who creates drama and conflict with others

Cyberbullying has intensified and is out of hand as a person can hide behind social media with little to no discourse or action. The challenge is that children today have to learn from their father and mother, many of which follow after the seven abominations. What can a child do? The same is true for a person who follows after the seven abominations. Repent to the Lord, follow his light to salvation. Read the Holy Bible, especially about the life of Jesus, and read proverbs to gain better wisdom. Life is hard and significantly more challenging for those who don't follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

I still stumble with several of these, not purposefully, but I find that I might say something that later is untrue. It is hard to hold your tongue around people when the person creates drama. Just the other day, I ran into a Christian who sows discord when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In our talks, he spoke about many untruths, which I corrected him on it. Your skin color or gender will never keep you from the blessings of God as long as you don't sow discord and do the Lord's will and plan for your life.

It reminds me of what the Lord (Jesus) said to Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:7: "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." The Lord does not look at gender, race, or size. The Lord looks at our heart, the same heart that praises the Lord or curses people. Are you praising the Lord in all things? Or are you devising evil in your heart?
